This Treatment Method has proved to give a significant number of Patients long-term survival and potential for cure as well. However, it is being said that Dostarlimab avoids the need for any of these treatments, which comes at a cost. The Dostarlimab drug full course costs around 1 crore. We also do not have any long-term studies to say this drug cures colorectal cancer. The patient number in the trial where Dostarlimab was tested was only 12.
The majority of the clinical trials performed to find the efficacy of a drug are usually tried on hundreds of patients and they are done in phase 3 trials where they are compared with standard treatment and follow-up of these patients for years. This is a very exciting achievement, as till now no drug has shown 100% efficacy in Clinical Trials but still, it is a long way before it can be used for patients.
Hope is a powerful force in the fight against cancer, and Dostarlimab’s success in a small group of patients with locally advanced rectal cancer is certainly encouraging. However, it’s crucial to remember that cancer is a complex and diverse disease. While breakthroughs like these bring hope, there’s no one-size-fits-all cure for every cancer.
Dr. Nilesh Chordia, a Surgical Specialist in Mumbai, provides guidance to navigate this journey with realistic optimism. Each step forward is progress, but the battle against cancer continues.
Dostarlimab is not typically used for the Treatment of Pancreatic Cancer. It is primarily an Immunotherapy Drug used in the treatment of certain types of Cancer, such as endometrial cancer and mismatch repair-deficient (dMMR) solid tumors. Pancreatic Cancer is typically treated with a Combination of Surgery, Chemotherapy, Radiation Therapy, and Sometimes targeted therapies, depending on the stage and type of pancreatic cancer.
The use of Dostarlimab or any other specific drug for pancreatic cancer would depend on ongoing research and clinical trials. If you or someone you know is dealing with pancreatic cancer, it’s essential to consult with an oncologist or medical specialist who can provide guidance on the most appropriate treatment options.
Does Cancer Vanish for every Patient with Dostarlimab?
Cancer Vanishes for Every Patient with Dostarlimab. A small group of patients with rectal cancer has experienced a scientific miracle – a cancer drug that made their cancer vanish completely. In a small trial at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, patients with rectal cancer received Dostarlimab administered every three weeks for six months.

The trial included only 12 people, but the results show that the cancer tumor disappeared in every patient. These kinds of results have never been witnessed in the history of cancer research. All 12 patients had a 100 percent positive response, with no evidence of the tumor on examination.
At the time of this report, no patients had received chemoradiotherapy or undergone surgery, and no cases of progression or recurrence had been reported during follow-up. No severe adverse events have been reported either. The results of this trial are extremely promising, but they should be viewed with caution until they can be replicated in a larger and more diverse population.
The potential of these findings is truly remarkable, offering a glimpse into a future where cancer treatment becomes more effective, less burdensome, and less invasive.
With dedicated specialists like Dr. Nilesh Chordia, a cancer treatment specialist in Mumbai, we’re moving closer to the day when cancer patients can access more promising and patient-friendly solutions, reducing the need for extensive surgeries, chemotherapy, and radiation.
